This is how we spent our Memorial Day.
Grandpa & Grandma's with family, food, & enjoying the beautiful day!

Memorial day is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service

& lets not forget those who are serving our country. They are in our prayers.

Birthday Boy & his Best Friend

Cal already considers him his BEST FRIEND.

Loves to hid everytime mom comes to pick him up!
Tells me he is most handsome when he comes his hair to the side!
Asks Jerod why he is always smiling "because your my nephew" and Cal grins!
Sings songs ALL the time!
Talks about his other best friend "Babe" the dog...plus most of the time he smells like one!

This last week the weather has be BEAUTIFUL.
Our schedule:
10:30 SNUGGLE with my boy/WAKE UP~i'm going to enjoy it while i can/daycare kids soon~
morning....
BATH time in which Breck LOVES. he could sit in the tub for hours & his eyes roll back with delight when i wash his hair!
SHOWER time in which i find difficult these days...Brecks keeping mama on her toes!
WALK. for my bodies sake & because the weather is awsome...Breck loves it too..sleeps through the whole thing ;)

12:00 LUNCH with grandma! She visits us for lunch...well not really US...HIM! She needs her baby time!
Afternoon is for lounging!
As long as I do a quick clean up before Jerod gets home so it looks like i did something for the day besides stare at my cute little man!

Evenings seem to go to fast. Eat. and time for BED! We are no longer night owls!
Jerod plays softball Thursday nights with Vintage Vikings..yes, Jerod is one of the youngest on the team by oh lets say 30-40 years! And they play awsome! They have won 2 lost 1! and last night they played a young team of kids who thought they would breeze past these geezers. nope. they ended up getting NO HITS/NO RUNS! way to go old men! Lets just say those kids walked away saying "we lost to those OLD guys"! ha!
Fun to watch. Love being back in town because of things like this!

This will all be changing in about a week/half as I will be starting summer daycare! KIDS KIDS KIDS! Got to find some ideas to keep us ALL busy this summer!

May Happenings

This months is definatly MY month!

1st off...MY first Mother's Day

with THREE bouquets of flowers ~two dozen red roses/a daisy bouquet~

A nap with my little man, waking up to a m&m blizzard treat!

and the NICEST card

It was signed by Breck...and noted that if dad wants to call him Brick, he's ok with it! ha!

~and the card was even an acually Mother's Day card, by this I mean usually for Christmas I get a "get well" card, birthday an "easter card"! such a funny man i have!~

And I got to celebrate Mother's Day this year..

Breck wasn't due till May 15th...thank you little man for coming early ;)

and fishing opener isn't till next weekend woooo hooo!

2nd Jerod & I are celebrating our 3 year Anniversary TODAY!

Three years have flown by...wow!

They have been three wonderful years, but this last year has maybe been the BEST.

We have no more college to think about...

Both got great jobs...

We moved back to town...

Close to family & friends...

Have a beautiful house...

and

A BEAUTIFUL HANDSOME LITTLE BOY!

How can you resist this!

Breck is 11 days old
We have officially been home for 1 week!
And how did my first week home go?

• I've spent 1,000,000,000 hours staring at my sweet baby
  
• Breck smiles 1,000,000,000 x's a day ~especially when he is drifting off to sleep and I talk to him or his daddy sings "big pimpin'" to him because of his "date" with Gia~


• We've changed over 68+ diapers since we have been home (how do I know this, we are offically out of diapers & wipes already)


• Breck loves bath time & getting his hair washed is his favorite!


• Dishes, cleaning, and everything else to be done as been neglected-you mean i have to put down my baby every once in awhile to get things done?! nahhh, not yet!


• I'm officially starting to feel like my "normal" self. Not sure what "normal" is quite yet, since being pregnant for 9 months isn't really make you "normal" more like "hormonal" but I think I'm getting there! No more Flinstone feet/my ring fits again/and most of my clothes fit!


• Breck loves to peeeeee. yes peeeee on everything, everyone...10 loads of laundry,baths, and showers are a must!


• We went from sleep sleep sleeping, to sleep, awake, sleep, sleep, awake! and he is eating more and more...getting a double chin in which i LOVE.
  
• The Barrick are in bed at 9:00pm...charish sleep! Breck is up every 2-4 hours for 2-4 oz of milk, then back to sleep! and his cry...well it's not much of a cry, just a little wimper! such a nice boy for his mom's precious ears!
• Only 457 pictures taken of Breck...ONLY! And how many blog posts?!


• One thing that has stayed the SAME pregnant or not....the trip to the DQ....still need it to get me through a week..I mean day!

~I may add more to this list...things just keep popin' in my head!

This last weekend we were lucky enough to have EVERYONE home for the weekend,
and it wasn't even a holiday...
everyone wanted to meet BRECK JAMES!
It was a wonderful weekend of hanging out, eating lots of home cooked food,
laughing till we were crying, and MANY pictures! I love having this blog so I can make
use of my pictures, plus I'm not much of a "scrapper" (someone needs to help me ah hmm..Stacie)
so I feel like keeping this blog is my journal, scrapbook, babybook for Breck, myself,
family and friends to keep up with our busy lives, and ALL our memories!

That's life at the Barrick House.

Breck left the hospital at 6.1lbs...they told me he would gain his birth weight back by 2 weeks

He had his 1 week check up yesterday:

And he has already gained his exact birth weight back...that's my boy!

He likes his food: Like MOther like SOn!

He also peed ALL over the scale including the walls when getting weighed..

Jerod said..that's my boy! Those of you who know Jerod...Like FAther like SOn!

He is such a happy, healthy little boy
