Winter days are worth it...

when you are lucky enough to take a trip up north to "the cabin"!

What a great week/weekend we enjoyed with MANY laughs

TONS of food

and GOOD friends.

We started off a bit rocky:

Jerod ended up going to the doctor and yes indeed he had strep throat!

Doctors orders included a shot in the rump & 24 hours of rest....

which made for a limping man with a sore behind ;)

and a very quiet non-enthusiastic body

but

within 24 hours he was up and about

and back to his normal smart-alic self!

And then:

Becky and I decided to try cross country skiing

{our first since we were forced to for gym class in high school on the FLAT football field}

First mistake:

Taking the RED trail-the long one!

Second mistake:

Using dad's ski's after he had just waxed them!

Third mistake:
It was NOT FLAT, but very hilly

Becky made it down the hill???????

I made it down the hill ?????
Can you guess who fell...


ME.
Not once, not twice, three times!

We made it!

Red faces and all.

An hour and a half later.

And I will NEVER do it again.

It was just THAT fun!

There was time for fishing

Snowmobiling on the Itasca State Park Trails

{boys are wild riders and girls not so much...

making for a slight crash involving a puffy snowy ditch

and MY hand breaking the break off the snowmobile.

Break $30.00 replacement/hand black and blue}

Makes for some VERY tired boys....

and some funny girls who messed around with them as they slept!

We celebrated a birthday party!

with:

Decorations! Dinner at Zorbaz!

Cake! Jello Shots! Games!

and WET Silly String!

{Must shake longer next time before spraying...sorry ;)}

Breck was SUCH a trooper!

a lover!

a flirt!

He had so many people goo'ing over him!

I heart him.

We were sooooooo wore out

Jerod drove home

and we took some naps!
