60th Birth...DAYS!

For dad's 60th birthday he asked not to make a BIG deal out of it, so what do you think everyone did?!


#1 ~Thursday~ banana splits and decorated office full of sweet treats!

#2 ~Friday~ a day of baking with the kids to bring thier grandpa some overly indulged
sprinkled decorated cupcakes, hats, and a special home-made card (featuring grandpa
in a rocket to space...yes even the kids know grandpa sometimes can be a space cadet!!)




#3 ~Saturday~ a surprise day with good friends that began at 8'o clock sharp with bloody mary's....a trip to the cities for a day of bike riding...well kind of! http://www.pedalpub.com/
and a bar hop, skip, and a jump back home!

#4 ~Saturday evening arrived home to his WONDERFUL;) daughters chinese cooking...
fried rice, wontons, egg rolls, and cream cheese puff...note to self...when they come out
of hot oil...they may still be HOT! Then off to bed...zzzzzzzzzzzzz!

#5 A day at the Forest City Stockade! Haven't been there in years, but worth a visit...
or at least I enjoyed it since I believed I was possibly Mary Ingalls in a past life, and
of course Stacie MUST have been Nelly! ~Sunday~

Grandma & Ellery participated in an egg toss!

#6 ANOTHER...surprise baseball themed birthday party at work which included
hotdogs, crackerjacks, floats, pictures of hippy Tommy, and real CHINA and
SILVERWARE!! he's spoiled by them ladies!! They must love him as much as we do!
~Monday~

#7 ending the evening with left over chinese, a 4 year old with a hose and a grandpa
that can't open a sliding door fast enough, and kayake ride and fishing on the lake!
He came home from work yesterday asked when the celebration will end.....never....
we always are having a party and a good time when your around!
