Dress up Days

EvErYday has turned into dress up day since I went through the back of Jerod's and my closet!


Makes the rock stars come out! Even I get to participate sometimes...most of the time I'm a judge watching them dance, sing, and play guitar!

Make's the crazy game show contestants come out....here is Billybob and Santina!

Then there's the winter basket they found in the closet and here's what happens...

E:"Guess how many scarves I have on"

Me:"3"

E: "Nope" giggle "5"

ran away.

E: "Guess how many gloves I have on"

Me: "8"

E: "Nope "6" giggle.

Ran away.

E: "Guess how many hats i have on"

Me: "2"

Then I got this face above.

E: " 5 my head is sweaty"!

Hot summer days are perfect for a Kool-aid stand....it also keeps the kiddo's

busy for hours (3.5 to be exact)! Ellery was a wonderful business women, chatting

with the customers...

MaNy neighbors,

a mailman,

a grandpa that happened to be driving by,

and an uncle Ty and friend Patrick NEEDing a fresh cup of Grandma Lundon's kool-aid

punch (thats what she told EVERYONE) after a busy day at guards!

Calvin was busy drinking all the kool-aid.....so I was busy running inside making more

...which also meant he ran to the bathroom 10 + times.......and also made for a pink

mustache! He was also busy playing his broom guitar for all our wonderful customers!

I was telling mom how embarrissing it was to have them running up n' down the

streets yelling "Kool-aid....25$" all afternoon....she told me...."pay back for doing all

the wacky things Vicki and I used to do"! opps!

Nothing like sprawling out with thier pockets full $3.00 a piece (good tippers) after

a long day of business! So we had the choice of spending the money at

The Dollar Store....3 junky toys!

or McD's........3 fatty foods on the $1.oo menu!

McD's won! yummm!

60th Birth...DAYS!

For dad's 60th birthday he asked not to make a BIG deal out of it, so what do you think everyone did?!

#1 ~Thursday~ banana splits and decorated office full of sweet treats!

#2 ~Friday~ a day of baking with the kids to bring thier grandpa some overly indulged

sprinkled decorated cupcakes, hats, and a special home-made card (featuring grandpa

in a rocket to space...yes even the kids know grandpa sometimes can be a space cadet!!)

#3 ~Saturday~ a surprise day with good friends that began at 8'o clock sharp with bloody mary's....a trip to the cities for a day of bike riding...well kind of! http://www.pedalpub.com/

and a bar hop, skip, and a jump back home!

#4 ~Saturday evening arrived home to his WONDERFUL;) daughters chinese cooking...

fried rice, wontons, egg rolls, and cream cheese puff...note to self...when they come out

of hot oil...they may still be HOT! Then off to bed...zzzzzzzzzzzzz!

#5 A day at the Forest City Stockade! Haven't been there in years, but worth a visit...

or at least I enjoyed it since I believed I was possibly Mary Ingalls in a past life, and

of course Stacie MUST have been Nelly! ~Sunday~

Grandma & Ellery participated in an egg toss!

#6 ANOTHER...surprise baseball themed birthday party at work which included

hotdogs, crackerjacks, floats, pictures of hippy Tommy, and real CHINA and

SILVERWARE!! he's spoiled by them ladies!! They must love him as much as we do!

~Monday~

#7 ending the evening with left over chinese, a 4 year old with a hose and a grandpa

that can't open a sliding door fast enough, and kayake ride and fishing on the lake!

He came home from work yesterday asked when the celebration will end.....never....

we always are having a party and a good time when your around!

Ellery kept telling Jerod faster...faster...faster....

Jerod was a little afraid that if she fell off she would cry...cry...cry
but as you can see she is quite the dare devil and LOVES the water!Even when she falls off...she's still smiling!

I don't even enjoy Jerod's driving on the lake! BAddd:(

THen....Calvin and I went for a ride on the tube too...but MUCH slower!!

His mouth was wide open like this the whole time:)

Although we had a great time tubing, Calivin & I enjoyed the boat ride and

watching Miss Ellery!

GrEaT Celebration!

Up to Crookston we went for grandma's 80th Birthday Party!!

This year we decided not to surprise grandma for her birthday.....

last year for her 79th birthday us grandkids surprised her and her response

was "oh you dumb kids"!!

We had a GrEaT celebration with all the family, grandkids, and

GrEaT grandkids!!

Despite all the rainy weather....

the kids....

had a blast....

having an umbrella parade! Happy Birthday to You.....and many More!

Oh Boy!

Im so lucky to be spending the summer with my niece and nephew doing home daycare!

(and in the fall will be licensed and looking for 2 more families...anyone interested!!??!)

I have to share some funnies spending the day with a 7 & 4 year old!

Today we had burgers an fries for lunch.....and YES I started the grill on my very own....and grilled the burgers too! SOME ppl would be very proud of me :)

And here's a word from Ellery: "i liked them, they were goooooooooood!" Although her face says different!

We spend half of our days laughing at "the boy" Calvin for the things he says/does!

he goes home looking like this mess EvErYdAy!he got mustard on his french fry and didn't want it there....so he wiped it off on his shirt.

I mean really WhY NotT!

We (our families) decided to throw Jerod a BiRtHdAy PaRtY!
Everyone came over for shish~kabobs and DQ cake! mmmm...
Haven't done a "party" for ages...but was nice to have family over
...until things got a little wild....but Uncle Jerod had some techniques
for calming the chldren!

I decided to add the weather b/c I'm addicted to checking the weather! YEs....somedays I check it at least 10 + times! Like it's going to change every hour or something. Oh wait we live in MN so it really does! Enjoy :)

Crazy but Wonderful

I've always wanted to start blog....but wish I had more interesting
things to blog about such as kids, fashion advise, travels....but nope
I have none to give at this point and trust me...you do NOT want my
fashion advise unless you think sweats and sweatshirts are "IN"!
I also wanted to start a blog so I could be a "blog-stalker" def: to
read another persons, more interesting blog then yours, for the express
purpose to learn more about them and thier thoughts on life! ~Don't tell
me you don't do the same thing~ Not sure if people will find mine as
fascinating or even want to use my ideas/thoughts that I have to offer
but here it goes. So if your lucky enough to know me, you will be reading
about the life of me, my husband Jerod, and OUR crazy but mostly wonderful families!
