October 25th

My Facebook post this a.m: I remember the excitement of waking up the first snowfall!
It's true. And I still get that excited feeling seeing those big fluffy flakes fall from the sky.
But what gets me even more is this boys face! Those big blue eyes and the excitement in his voice as he asks to go outside outside and pull him in his "New" used (garage sale find) sled!
Not enough snow this time, but hopefully soon my sweet boy!

Hot chocolate parties

I just got "New" old dishes of my moms found in her attic.  They are fun and very unique...I like them.
As I was washing and putting them away, Cal and Breck noticed there were cups and saucers (something you don't see much of anymore) along with a matching tea pot.
They asked to have a tea party....without having Ellery around to "make" them.
So we set up a blanket on the dining room floor. Along with a tea pot of hot chocolate, a cup of marshmallows, sprinkles, and crackers. They poured "tea" in their cups and places it on their saucers while Cal taught Breck the right way to drink tea : pinky out!
And when they were done (within five minutes), they ran off to play cops and robbers while I cleaned up their icky sticky crummy mess. :)

Football fanatics

My house is full of football fanatics...my husband and now his mini me have taken over the house with football.
Lucky for dvr (or as I like to say "taping it") we do get to see the sunshine with trips to the park on Sunday afternoon.
Until its over for the season....pray for my sanity!

My funny hunny

Recently I have noticed that two is a very (VERY) busy age.  Yes, I have heard terrible twos a dozen times, but only recently have we actually experienced what it "really" means.
We still have our wonderful, fun, wouldn't change a thing moments...but now with a couple challenges included in our day.
I know its just his way of showing independence, but I just don't like it because it just shows him growing up and weaning more and more off his mommy.
For all the challenging moments we have, there are about a billion amazing ones.  So I just focus on those!
Here are some funny things he does that make me smile as I lay in bed..blogging as he's fast asleep after a long playful day!
#1 wearing my flat iron case as a sock
#2  wearing a sticker mustache
#3  playing super hero dress up
I love this boy!
And will chrarish the "challenging terrible twos"!

Ps. Tonight he flushed "something" down the toilet and now it doesn't flush correctly....looks like well be calling the Plummer. Not so funny :(

Shaving cream fun!

This was the day
This mom was out of fun ideas.
So this was the day
This mom stole dads shaving cream
So this little boy could have some fun.
This mom was considered "mom of the year" on
This day :)

Laffy taffy at 8:15 am?

It's true. Lately we have had taffy at all hours of the day from early morning, just before lunch, and even as late as 8:15 pm right before bed!
Why?
Because some little boy, who decided to grow up to fast on his mom, has decided to use the potty!
We aren't quite ready to use the little underwear yet, but he is not afraid of the potty anymore and frequently asks to use it!
We are soooo proud of him...
He's on his way to being a "big boy"
I'm just not sure I'm ready for it :)

Harvest madness

Every fall Litchfield hold their Harvest Madness, an evening of shops being open later, pumpkin picking, fire stations open house, and food!
We brought Breck down to the fire hall to see all the trucks, spray a fire hose, and meet sparky the fire dog. He was in love with it all!!
Then we had dinner at McD's for .69 cent burgers!
When we got home Breck sat next to his pumpkins (one from Nelson farms and the other from g'pa Tom)on the bench in the basement. We can't put them out on our step because past years we have little punks that break them before the big night..boo..anywho....Breck sat next to them and said they were his buddis along with hugs and smooches. What a nut!

Pup

This little stinker thinks he's a puppy. Everything we play, everything we do, everywhere we go he "acts like a puppy". I think its because at daycare there are two puppies that he loves (since we can't have pets with jerods horrible allergies).
It's pretty funny most of the time, but there are times I want to crawl in a hole and hid. Most recently we were at the ENT for an afternoon apointment right smack in the middle of nap time.  He was so crazy it was embarrassing. He crawled on the floor in the office barking and licking my feet! Sometimes I will be doing something not paying attention and he will come over and lick my face.  Now that's puppy love!

Big piles

The leaves have fallen and of course we haven't done anything to clean them up as the rest of the neighbors have....we are those people!
Although its way more fun to run jump and play in them!
First picture is how Breck was dressed for leave jumping! I had to finish up someyhing in the house and the two boys were antsy to get outside so I asked Cal to help get Breck dressed....I found him in his cowboy boots and dress coat buttoned up wrong. So funny!
The other pictures are the boys jumping off a chair into the pile.  Cal gave Breck pointers on how to do it...Breck jumped in...dissapeared into the leaves...then cried because he was lost in them covering his head. Another beautiful fall day!

God parents

We are so lucky to have such wonderful friends we met while living in Mankato. We try and get together as often as poasuble, but as our families grow it seems to get more and more difficult. Luckly they are just a phone call away and we catch up that way...although seeing them is much more fun...we'll take it!

In September 30th we were in Mankato to partake in a very special day...
The baptisms of Miss Liana and Mr Nolan.
We were asked to be Nolans God parents and happily accepted!
It means so much to us to be part if theirs and their children's lives.

I just have to...

Brag about my daycare lady/friend!
Breck started going to D's house this fall and it has been the BEST thing ever for me & Mr. B.
He loves it there so much that we have no tears when mom goes to work.  And I love it because I get fun pictures all day long!
Honestly D makes me look so bad, because she's that good.
Here are some of my fave pictures...
They cook, bake,
Play house, doctor
Scavenger hunts, water
Games,painting, playdough
And just being goofy!
And all in a days work....
Equal rest time! Probably more for D!
People like this deserve an award....when they can make a mom know her kids are in great hands while their away!

Pumpkin patch 2013

On Saturday we took a trip to the Nelson Farm!
It actually ended up being a beautiful fall afternoon with the sun shining!
So much to do...
And the best part was letting a two year old rambunctious little man RUN and RUN.
We saw animals, picked pumpkins, went on a hay ride, rode with dad down a big hill, climbed through tunnels, and rode on a horse course of course!
Breck picked a big pumpkin and a little one that he loves to carry around the house and tuck into bed with him!
Great time at the farm! A must for anyone!
