My funny hunny!

Here are some funny pictures of Mr. B.
He has quite the personality.
Mr. chatty, friendly, social butterfly!

So twice a week I watch a friends little girl.
As I was changing her clothes,
this little boy was trying on her clothes.
I turn around and found him like
THIS

Last weekend we had a bachelorette party for a good friend.
We played a game called He Said She Said where the guest had to guess who said it by holding up the  crown for her and mustache for him.
Breck found them the next day and was playing with them.
I told him to run downstairs and say to dad
"I mustache you a question"
he did.
And now hasn't stopped saying it to anyone who stops over!

Breck found a "treasure chest" at grandpa Tom's the other day.
When he opened it up,
there was nothing it!
Since grandpa is a sucker...
it's now filled with treasures when he comes to visit!

Candy gumdrops
and
mickey mouse pez dispenser!

That's what grandpa's are for.

Spring Time...Spring-a-ling-a-ling time!

Anyone know where my title comes from??
Yup, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse...something we could watch 24/7 in this house!

Anyways!
Spring is FINALLY here.
Or at least this week.
(Next week looks like it could be a cold/blustery one AGAIN)

But for this week we have been enjoying it tremendously!
Every morning for the last two weeks either on our way to daycare or on our morning walk,
we have heard the sounds of  singing!
We look up and right there we see a red cardinal singing to us.
How cool is that.
Then Breck imitates it's noise for the rest of the day (woo hoo...woo hoo..woo hoo)!

Although there is still a TON of snow on the ground,
big puddles mean it's slowly fading away!
It also means splashing!
Which means this mom does a ton of extra laundry as we have to change every time we come inside with wet clothes!

It also means our garage is back to being for toy storage and less for our cars to fit!
Yup, we got out all our summer toys
and enjoying every second of it!
I laughed as Breck played with his car (above).
It's so silly because they can barely move in it because there is no room for their feet,
yet a favorite!
This day while riding in it
he tipped it on its side.
He just laid there...it was so funny!
Looking forward to spring & summer outside play.

P.S I just put away all my winter/Christmas decorations outside! Yup I was that neighbor.

Riding race cars...

A new favorite past time includes race cars...
But instead of letting them bounce off the walls (like they are suppose to do)
Breck has a new idea.

Riding them.
My favorite part about this...
Is that he makes his dad do it too!

Looks like fun huh?!?

Better him then me!

St.Patrick's Weekend 2013

Our annual trip to Crookston for St. Patricks Day was the perfect weekend get away!
Since my Grandpa Lundon is 100% Irish
we celebrate by making the 4+ hour trip up north
to visit the family!
Here are the great grandparents with our side of the families great grand babies!

And here is grandpa Tom with his grandchildren.
They are used to grandpa giving them kisses and a pinch on their cheeks.
(this pinch has been going on since I was a little and thankfully passed on to the little people)
Grandpa and Ellery.

The evening begins with dinner at the Irishman Shanty
for some corn beef and cabbage soup (for them)
and a nice steak for me :)
Everyone is dressed in their goofy green attire including hats, pins, and glasses!
The kids love it
and run around like maniacs while we "try" to chit chat!

After our belly's are FULL we return to the hotel for some swimming to wear out the kids!
They are like fish and it's hard to get them out.
Jerod was in the pool for over two hours with Breck...poor guy!
Which meant I got the second shift the following morning
(Cold pools, with to much chlorine, in a swim suit...not for me)
But, I did it for the boy.
That grin,
is worth it!

They had a blast hanging out with their cousin's for the weekend.

After our morning swim and check out grandma wanted to take everyone out for pizza before we left town. So we went to her favorite place Happy Joes.
Little did I know she had a surprise up her sleeve!
As we are finishing up our pizza, here comes some young girl to our table with a horn in her hand. Oh GREAT!
She proceeds to say (in monotone) "Attention everyone, we have a birthday in the house.  Hannah is turning 31.  Let's all sing her happy birthday"
Seriously in monotone...so FUNNY.
Then the whole place starts singing, including her (in monotone)
"Happy Birthday to you (honk honk), Happy Birthday to you (honk honk)
Happy Birthday to Hannah, Happy Birthday to you (honk, honk, honk honk)

I was DYING! It was so funny! I thought my sister did it, so I look at her with a death look!
She shakes her head nope,
then points to grandma!
Who is sitting next to her with a grin on her face.
Best. Birthday. Surprise. Ever.
Love that grandma :)

Then we shared a delicious sundae.
mmm.mm.mmm.

What a wonderful weekend!

10 year anniversary...

of my twenty first birthday :)
That,
is how I celebrated turning 31 this year! It made it feel so much better.
Although I DID NOT celebrate it exactly like I had ten years ago (thank God, I would have never survived)
it was an amazing day, days, week, month!

We had some friends over for card club,
lots of delicious food,
drinks,
and this beautiful sign
(a big joke on me for making my "SPRING" banner backwards a couple weeks ago)

On Sunday we bummed around ALL day long (as you can see by the picture)
until my family all showed up for a surprise pizza party!
Ellery made a tie dye cake (found on pineterst)
that was delicious.....

making the 10th anniversary of my 21st birthday a great one :)

March snowfall...

March came in like a LION
with a BIG snowstorm
with over 8 inches of snow!

So we spend the whole day
(2 hours in the morning, 2 hours resting, 2 hours back outside)

We went sledding down the street around the block.
Breck sat in the sled on his belly singing and humming the whole way!

He "helped" me shovel snow off the driveway.
As I shoveled he would jump in for a ride,
making it near impossible to push the snow and 27 pound munchkin!

He helped me shovel with his brand new yellow digger!
We had to make a quick stop out to Walmart to pick up a new shovel
since a few days earlier his dad ran it over with the truck.
AND
now my helper is back!

I love snow days!

Runs in the family...

A couple weeks ago,
Breck and his dad went up to Augsburg College to watch Uncle Jon skate his final college hockey game. Bitter sweet.
Breck enjoyed watching the "big boys" skate while
sitting on the bleachers with a mouth full of skittles :)
(I couldn't make it to the game so I stuffed $1.00 in his pocket to make up for it)

Jon had a HUGE support system there to watch his final skate,
then pizza out with the family!  They didn't get home till after midnight,
but Breck was bright eyed when he arrived home and ready to tell me all about his evening out with dad!
He still talks about "Jon Skating"!
And hope the love for hockey will grow and grow!

Unfortunately Breck got his dad's hair,
just less brown!
It's fluff,
unruly,
colicky,
and needs a trim/cut every couple weeks to look normal.

It kind of stinks because I love long hair,
but this is just out of control.

Usually my sis and I buzz it together,
but this time I went out and bought my own buzzer
and did it!

And here are the results of my handsome boy! Pretty cute huh!
The funniest part about all this is that I posted on FB that "Clipped his hair all by myself...pretty good huh?!" and some ppl took it as "HE" clipped it by himself!! DOES IT LOOK THAT BAD?! LOL!
Perfect spring cut
Now,
just waiting for spring!

And the lucky winner is....

 BRECK!

Last week at the Okee Dokee Brother's concert they had a drawing
for all those that bought a picket for the new park.
(it's in it's final week of sales so do it quick)

We decided to buy one that said The Barrick's.
I thought it would be fun to search the playground each time we visited to find our picket
for years and years!

Breck was the lucky winner of this cool semi truck
presented by The Okee Dokee Brothers.
Now how cool is that?!

He enjoyed many hours of play already with his truck
including many hours of sleeping with it too! ouch :)

Thanks again for a fun evening.

The concert was Okee Dokee!!

What do you think all 300 + of us are watching out at Steffes Auctioneers Inc.???
(do you see Annie & I amongst the wee ones sitting on the ground..we fit in pretty well)
The Okee Dokee Brothers Concert put on by the Litchfield Community Built Playground as a fundraiser for our new playground at Memorial Park this spring!!
The Okee Dokee Brothers have just won the Grammy for Best Children’s Album at the recent 55th Annual Grammy Awards.
Although I have never heard of them...THEY WERE FANTASTIC
and can't wait to upload some of their songs for Breck to jam to because...
apparently he loves blue grass music!
He was a dancing machine and continued his knee slapping when we got home to show his dad.
Who knows,
maybe someday he will be a musician?!
He already has MUCH more rhythm and can care a tune more then Jerod or I.

Concert was fantastic.
A very fun filled hour of dancing, singing and playing.
And for a great cause!
Here's to a wonderful playground for LOTS of upcoming summer fun!
