A day in the life....

Of my little 17 month old!
He is at the most fun stage ever...well most of the time
He can tell us what animals say
cow = neeeeeeeeeww for mooooo
dog = arf arf
duck = gauk gauk gauk
dinosaur = rarrrrrrrrrr
and I bring this up because he is so afraid of these:
oven mitts!
We'll he was
until his dad taught them to be monster and say grrrr
and now he loves them
and chases us around with a glove on his hand!
{I even found it in his toy box}
He is always busy.
Busy as in finding things to climb in,
move toy boxes and such to get up higher {to places we shouldn't be or things we shouldn't touch}
He is cuddly.
Loves to give wet sloppy kisses.
Say's "laa {love} ooo {you}"
and most of the time say's "tank {thank} ooo {you}" all on his own!

He is now busy playing,
mostly without us trying to keep him entertained.
But little does he know we are still watching him entertain us!
He put this water bottle holder on the other night...
but somehow got his leg stuck in it.
We were busy laughing as he was saying "elp {help}"
I have been busy too!
I started crocheting again...this time for seriousness!
My first scarf...
made for Breck!
and he wore it without complaining about it.
Isn't he just a doll. I think so ;)
Some of my favorite Breck faces in this post!
I've been also enjoying this fall weather!
Windows open,
fall decorations up!
and making fall decorations!
I thought these mason jar pumpkin 's are so cute.
I am having the kids make them for one of my after school programs
and thought I would try them out myself first!
Now I'm hooked
and you may be getting one for a b day gift or what not.
Cute huh!
Add a candle....
I may line them up on my walk way on Halloween night?!?!
I've also been busy with my new project:
being a Thirty One consultant!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE it.
It's been so fun,
so easy,
I get to have a girls night out....all while showing ladies all the awesome bags.
I never realized how much I would like it,
and I bought a new car
and will be able to pay it off quicker then I originally thought!
Thank you everyone who's been supporting me!
and let me know if you want to throw a party

PS on the way home from one of my parties last Saturday,
I HIT A DEER!
first time ever.
with my new ride.
and two ladies and a baby in the car.
NO GOOD.
but luckly it was a doe,
and it didn't damage a single thing! {besides the deer of course}
WOW.
was I lucky.

A day at the park!

We have been spending SO much time at the park!
On Sunday we convinced dad to get off the couch {in between games of course}
and walk with us to the park!
He has to do everything on his own!
Such a big boy.
Dad and him used the digger.
He is defiantly ALL boy
loves cars, trucks, rocks, dirt
and
I love it.
but....I'm pretty sure dad had more fun then Breck did!
Wish there was time every night to do this,
but unfortunately there's not much time after dinner, bath, then bed!
We love hanging with dad.

Fall Festival weekend...

here are picture fro this last weekend's trip to Duluth to visit my brother & sis in law
Miss Maizy & Mr Mason

Saturday we walked to the fall festival just a couple blocks away.
As we waited I thought i'd snap a few of these two munchkins....
easier said then done.
She sat so patiently saying cheese..
while my boy ran away laughing.

There is something said about boys vs. girls!!!
finally after I held him down and tickled him we got him to smile for the camera...
but as you can see
she slowly got sick of smiling which turned into a silly face!
Off in the wagon to the festival...
by this time kids were getting tired!
Breck was done,
and Maizy wasn't far behind!
Her face is priceless,
like "whats this kids problem"

After we refueled on fried food
{cheese curds, fried potatoes, gyros}
we were all happy,
something about carnival, festival, fair food does that to people!

The dad's took the kids over to the playground to run
along with five million other kids..
while we watched and enjoyed the day
with this little chubby monster!
He is such a good baby...I could just steal him!
Time to walk home...
within' minutes Breck was sleeping sitting up,
so I laid him down and off we went!

Maizy fell asleep in her dad's arms so we decided to put her in the wagon next to Breck.
Just as we laid her down she wakes up and says "MAIZY HATE IT"
so funny! She talked in third person all weekend!
He took a nap the whole way home :)
And of course woke up when we got to the front door...kids.

These two were buddies the whole weekend too!
Breck wouldn't leave Jack alone...but luckily Jack is a very good dog and let him
jump on him, pet him, pull his hair, even lick/kiss him on the mouth...ewww I know!

Later on Saturday night we had a bonfire in the back yard.
Patty had told us their had been bear and skunk spotting lately...
as we sat by the fire Jack comes running rapid over to us and brushes up on our legs/feet!
He reeks like skunk...
not to mention foaming a the mouth!
HE had got sprayed by a skunk in the yard right in the mouth!
WORST smell EVER
*even when we got back to Litchfield we still smelt skunk on us

Breck had so much fun seeing his cousin's!
And they were so gracious to let us come visit!

Maizy and Breck played so nice
and Breck had "nice hands" most of the time around the baby!
This is the best picture of the three I could get, yet again.
LOVE Mason's big eyes!

We got home and Breck was ready to PLAY after being in the car for over three hours!
{this face is so funny}
He was concentrating so hard to put those dang spider man shoes on...OBSESSED with them!

He LOVES climbing the stairs, although we are so afraid of him doing this!
Mostly on Sunday's Jerod is downstairs watching football all day long
and
me upstairs dinking around
So Breck thinks it so fun to go up and down seeing us.
Most of the time he listens when we say no, but sometimes he has a mind of his own!

After dinner that night it was bath time!
We still love baths...splashing in the water

Plus he smells so yummy afterwards!
We snuggle and lights out.
He was exhausted after our long weekend,
but so much fun!

After he went to bed I baked
 chocolate chip muffin's
and
apple crisp!
Recipes to come...

Perfect day....

Lately the weather has been amazing!
We have on sweatshirts, jeans, and hats
outside playing.
Calvin the monkey is hiding in the tree {see him?}
while Breck is just begging to be a big kid like him climbing with him!
He was so excited to join Cal up in the tree...
And someday he'll be doing it all by himself...
let's just hope these monkey's don't fall out of the tree :)

Tonight, tonight...

first off, I love that song!! And Breck sings the "la, la, la" part..so cute!
But now that Breck is off to dream land {praying for a good night sleep}
Jerod & I have a date planned:
WE
are
GOING
to
WATCH
the
BIG BROTHER
season finale!
with a bowl of ice cream
IN BED ;)
We just started getting Schwan's and we love it.
Jerod got heath ice cream
&
me, my utlimate favorite rocky road
{my g'ma Smith always used to have it in her freezer for me...that's love}
night all.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

To the worlds BEST PARENTS
GRANDPARENTS
and FRIENDS!
Love you.
By the way, my facebook status today says:
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MOM & DAD!!! 37 years married....29 years of happiness (that's when I was born!)

Unexpected day off...

 I was up all night
with a sad boy.
YUP again....ears are to blame.
So I took the day off,
Breck took the day off from daycare,
and we headed to the doctor
{a second home for us}

We waited, and waited, and waited,
and to keep ourselves entertained we read books, sang songs, made faces in the mirror,
hid under the chair,
and played peek-a-boo!
Finally the doctor came and confirmed what we thought:
infection!
But on a good note,
his tubes are still in {yah}
so we just have to get his ears cleared so the tubes do their job and help with draining his ears.
Even though he's not feeling 100% himself,
he sure is still a silly entertaining young boy!
He piled the pillows on the floor and would fall off the couch on them till he couldn't keep his eyes open any longer...
then we took a two hour nap together!
{since we didn't sleep much last night, WE needed it!}
remember in a previous blog post I said he is obsessed with those crazy colorful socks! look in his hand...he's holding them!
The kids came after school and we spent some time outside enjoying the fall weather!
I LOVE fall.
Jeans, sweatshirt, bonfires, the smell of leaves! The best.
We took an evening walk around the block that took us 45 minutes!
I asked if he wanted to go in the wagon "noo"
I asked if he wanted to go in the stroller "noo"
I asked if he wanted to walk "yauhh"
It's so funny how he understands things these days and makes decisions on what he wants...so much fun, I think this is my favorite age!
It took so long to get around our small block because he had to stop and throw leaves
and then he would decide to stop and sit down on the side of the road.... about twenty times!
Then home, dinner, and daddy gave him a bath!
After bath he would prefer to be naked...
so we let him for a short time!
Tonight he decided he wanted to put on his new monster hat while riding on his rocket!
My funny boy,
makes days off so much fun,
even when he's not feeling so well!

What a day....

Sunday was
officially the first day of the football season!
Our family
likes football
{just a little bit}
Jerod is obsessed with fantasy football and doesn't leave the couch for 48 hours
{Sunday football & Monday night football}
I used to love lounging on the couch napping on and off all day during the games...
but
these days I'm chasing around our mini Vikings fan!

Breck and I went for a walk around the block,
then decided to go bug g'm & g'pa for a bit!
G'ma decided we should go feed the birds out at the lake parking lot!
G'ma threw the bread,
and Breck chased those birds with all he had trying to catch them!
He was ALL over the parking lot! But never caught a bird ;)
He had such a serious look on his face the whole time...he was so confused!
We were laughing to hard at the poor guy.

By the time we were out of bread
he had ran a mile and was pooped out!
On the way home I saw this:
A fire truck on Main Street with it's ladder up over the road and a flag waving in the breeze.
The day was Sunday
September 11th 2011
TEN year anniversary of a terrible day in the U.S.A
From the moment I woke up, till I laid down to bed that night
I watched many programs about the tragic day.
It was a horrible event,
that NOBODY will forget.
We are just so blessed to have such wonderful people in the world who saved others that day,
and continue to fight for us.

new routine...

The last week everyone got a new routine...
School started,
work started,
daycare started.

NOW that we have the ear infection under control
Breck loves daycare!
{the first week was rough, he cried, I cried, it was hard. Until we found out he had an ear infection and that is why he was so sad..poor baby}
I work 20 hours/2.5 days a week.

We spend the days off
sleeping in, snuggling with his blanket, lounging in the morning!
Then meet friends in the park...
the weather has been amazing.

We come home to have lunch.
Lately he has been testing his mom,
and is getting too smart for his own good!
If we don't buckle him in {which we rarely do}
he stands up!
the term dare devil fits the kid well.

we found out this week lasagna is his fav food!

He has a mind of his own.
This morning while putting his white socks on to put on tennies
he went in his drawer and picked out these socks!

He grunted and yelled at me till I put them on his feet!
Luckly I got them off him by preoccupying him with something else before we left the house!
silly boy.

After the park we were on our way home and saw two garage sales by our house.
We found this lawn mower
{we already have one, but he is obsessed with it}
and this one is NOISER...think we will bring it to g'ma and g'pa's!

Here he posed for me and said "cheeesse"
He tried to bring his lawn mower to bed with him..he just loves it.

We also found this fun, also noisy piano!
All for $2.25!!
Now my angel is napping
I
LOVE
being
home
with
my
favorite
boy
They are my favorite days.
Here are some of Breck's new words! {16 months}
We ran into a friend and Breck was barking like a dog, so she says "what does a cow say" and I said "he doesn't know that"
all of a sudden he starts moooo'ing!
Ha! Mom of the year!
