Punkin carvin

Friday night I brought my lil pumpkin out to grandma and grandpa Smith's house to carve
pumpkins with his cousin's Ellery and Calvin...but
I'm pretty sure grandpa Tom and Brian had the most fun of all!

Grandpa's "cleaver idea" on how to carve a pumpkin...
We carved pumpkins while listening to spooky music,
um, not quite...grandpa had on cowboy music!
The boys being "boys" were had ants in thier pants...so Calvin entertained himself
by entertaining Breck! They WILL be trouble in a couple years :)

Then it was time to call it a night..
pumpkin carving watching take a lot of a little boy. Home we went!

Saturday we carved our two little pumpkins at home.
And made our pumpkin family
Jerod the big ugly guy :) Me the crooked smile and Breck the little guy with a nuk!

Between Breck trying to suck on the pumpkin top and trying to steal his nuk back...
I'd say we had a sucessful 1st PuMpKiN CaRvInG!

On my days off
this is what we do.

we BAKE cookies
we COOK chili in the crockpot for dinner
we take NAPS
and we BLOG
and while mom blogs
this is what BRECK does

i didn't realize how well he moves around the room...
he squirmed away from his toys
over to his halloween bag
and i found him eating TOOTSIE ROLLS?!?!
what a little pig,
or maybe mom and dad snuck into your candy bag and left wrappers behind
I'll
blame it on
DAD.

First snowfall

And he was AmAzEd by the
BIG
WET
FLAKES
coming out of the sky

how i adore that face...
and all the new things he learns and see everyday

weekend update

This weekend was pretty mellow..
and i like that
Friday
consist of ME going out with some old high school friends
to Carlito's (a crazy fun Mexican restaurant in town)
good for:
AMAZING food & pure entertainment
no. there's not a band, comedian, or even karaoke
just a little crazy and alot of fun!
Most of you know what i'm talking about without being to blunt...
and if you don't, come visit us and we'll show you!

And since we are old
we were home by 9!
Then i spent the night trying to talk to my husband who was trying to watch a "classic"
he informed me that EVERYONE has seen the movie "The Fly" ummm...ok
not i, and why would you want to see it...a man turns into a fly ewwwwww.
he also informed me is a love story! 1/2 man + 1/2 fly does not equal love story.
wierdo.

Saturday
Breck and i were up early making breakfast.
Then Jerod went out to check his deer stand in the pouring rain..sounds like fun to me.
When he got home we worked @ the house:
finished the basement entrance & finished staining the shed.
That evening we had dinner at the legion with all our friends to get together
with a friend and his girlfriend being home to visit.
Dinner was interesting to say the least...
busy baby who learned to grab things and restaurant(small space) don't mix!
After dinner we all gathered at our house
for a chilly fall night bonfire! It was great..so great...that SUNDAY, wasn't so great!
I'm to old for this :)

Sunday
LAZZzzzzzzzzzzy Day!
didn't even get out of p.j's.
Football game...ending in a Viking lose...boooo!
Happy weekend....that went wayyyyyyy to fast.

this n' that.....

these are random pictures that i must
post for future...
lately i feel as though my brain is fried and i can't
remember what i did an hour ago..let alone a week, month, year!

First time eating peas...
i think he likes em'
ok, but really he does now! after i made a ton
and told him he MUST learn to like them.
What a good listener!
Here's where Breck sits in the morning
while i do my hair and get ready!
He loves to look in the mirror and giggle...
maybe he'll be a hair dresser! :) ok....no
but maybe he'll understand how much time it takes
for a women to get ready and be a very understanding
young gentlemen hee hee.
The boots: Grandma and grandpa Barrick just got back from
a road trip. Missouri and Texas...and the brought back
cowboy boots and a western shirt!
So now Breck is going to be a cowboy for Halloween...pic's to come!
OH and they brought home tamale's for us
mmmm....the BEST Mexican food EVER!
Kind of like a corn breading with meat and stuff inside
wrapped in a corn husk and baked (take the husk off to eat)!
and this..
is Breck playing dress up!
or us dressing him up...
he just sat there with those glasses on
SOOOoo funny!

Like my dad...

I got dimples and a great smile that's contagious!

I lovvvvvvvvve nap time!

And kisses are my favorite!

When i grow up...
i want to be like my dad!

Some family...

This is what happens when Breck visits with my side of the family.
He gets tied to the chair.
This is the high chair at grandma and grandpa's house..
and since it has no buckle
we use dish clothes to restrain them!
He sat at the table and played
while my mom and i laughed at him!

Then there's this!
My cute little...
GiRL?!
Yup, I had to work and Aunt Stacie was at it AGAIN.
He had two blow outs at her house
he was out of clothes
so she ran down the basement to find Ellery's doll clothes/Ellery's old baby outfits
and dressed him.
Grandma had stopped in for lunch break and encouraged it all...
I came to find him napping,
butt in the air,
with a pink fleece outfit!
i was going to keep him dressed in pink till his dad got home,
but instead i took pictures
for Jerod to see and to look back and laugh at/embarrass him when he's a teen!
I dressed him one of his most manly outfits...
a crocodile outfit!
I have to admit.
I think he can pull off the cute little girl look :) poor thing!

10.20.2010

Soo fun swinging....

Today we went to the park.
Note: it's October 20th and still 65 degrees out
but bite my tounge next week 40's and possible
snoooooooow (cleaver i am snow/noooo) ha!
So we took the kids to the park and Breck had his FIRST
swing ride?! (is that what you call it? ha)
HE LOVED IT.
His legs were kicking ALL over the place as he laughed!
I had some cute shots of his legs kick kick kicking..
but my camera didn't save them. bummer.
guess we'll have to go back tomorrow...LAST nice day
Next weeks forcast: 40 degrees and possible snow :(
we're not ready.

10.19.2010

Busy boy. busy mom.

This week...being ONLY Tuesday...has been one heck of a week.
My little man STILL has an ear infection.
So between doctors visits, late nights, and a very unusual fussy boy,
I want the weekend.

So Breck is still sick and we realized it Sunday.
Our options were ER or wait till Monday...waited.
And found out his ears are still red.
So option one, another 10 day antibiotic and hope it works
or
shots for three days :( Was told they would be painful.
I opted for the shots, i know mean mom, but it would be a quicker
fix and we NEED that.
Day 1 shots cried ALOT but i think because his ears hurt ALOT
Day 2 shots didn't even cried, just gave a little grunt ha..i love my boy.
one more day. and lets hope we are DONE or we may have to see a specialist.
So PRAY for my little man...I AM.
BUT
besides that ordeal
he is HAPPY,
PLAYING,
SITTING. yes sitting!
SCOOTING. scrunching his legs up and pushes his head down
bulldozing his toys along the way.
GIGGLING.
p.s thats his new toy..i thought he deserved it since he had shots...
gowsh i'm a sucker already.
oh and he got new nuks today too because while in the store
he took his out of his mouth and launched it,
then decided he needed and it was GONE...so i opened a pack
right there in the store and gave it to him.
No sterilizing
(do people acually do that? I don't, just wanted to sound like a good mom..did it work?)
not paid for yet,
yes...mom of the year!
