it's all about the food...

After Breck's Baptism at the church we invited our family & friends
over for lunch...
my WONDERFUL mother made all this WONDERFUL food.
All MY favorites!
Yes, this is a post just about food! But I'm including recipes because
someone asked for one & I forgot to give it to her! Plus these are EASY
recipes for all you ladies out there...even you Shannon ;)

Fruit Bowl
with only my fav's
Grapes, Apples, & Watermelon
Chicken Bow Tie Salad
1 (16 ounce) package bow tie noodles
6oz dried cranberries
1 bottle of Kraft Poppy Seed dressing
1/4 c almonds/ or (peanut allergie...dried pumpkin seeds)
2 Large cans of chicken or 2-3 chicken breasts prepared and shredded
ORIENTAL BOK CHOY SALAD
1/2 c. butter
2 tbsp. white
2 pkgs. Ramen noodles (broken up), do not use flavor packet
1 sm. pkg. slivered almonds
2 lbs. bok choy lettuce/or a head of cabbage(chopped coarsely)
In large skillet melt butter over medium heat.
Add noodles, almonds and sugar.
Stir all the time until lightly browned.
Set aside to cool to room temperature.
Just before serving, break up the crunchy mixture,
add to bok choy, pour dressing over, mix and serve.
DRESSING:
3/4 c. vegetable oil
1/4 c. red wine vinegar
1/2 c. white sugar
2 tbsp. soy sauce
Mix well and chill until ready to use.
Chicken Salad Sandwiches
1 Large can of chicken
sprinkle 1 tsp paprika
2-3 Tb honey
2-3 Tb mayo
1/4 c almonds (peanut allergie...roasted pumpkin seeds)
Mix together...add more honey to sweeten, or mayo to make creamier
