watercade

We had our friends Megan & Ryan from Mankato visit for Watercade weekend..
2nd annual, they say they love it!
Ryan took a picture of this: tackle box, rod, and beer I thought it was funny
& just about sums up what a man needs to be happy
And all i need is a shopping mall & Jerod's credit card ;)

They boys tradition is to be part of the Watercade fishing tournament...
They stayed up till 2ish playing madden, then 6 a.m alarm to get out on the lake.
Thier goal this year was to catch a fish...yup thats it, & would be better then last year!
and... they did. Nice catch Jeff...but still no money won!
They enjoyed fishing while us gals got up for the Watercade walk.
After getting our free shirts (thats worth it, a pj shirt) we started our 4 mile walk...
while a storm began to brew ahead of us! We were ALMOST to mom & dad's house
when it began to pour down...we ran to thier porch for cover & waited out the rain...
so we could finish our walk? nah, just back to the car :) ha!
And the whole time it rained..hmmm 45 min of pouring rain...we were VERY
concerned about our boys...or just lauging thinking about them out on the boat!
After fishing the boys rest..zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Then off to the 1 band parade! Athough I very much enjoyed the alumni band...but will NEVER take part in it...sorry gals! It was a hot humid 2 hour parade! WE all looked forward to a cold one around a fire that evening....

but a storm took over & we ended up stuck in the house! Still A GREAT time.
And we enjoyed ALL the company so much that we stayed up till 2 a.m again
Sunday
we had to be up early for the Watercade golf tournament...yup, me, golf, yikes!
We ended up doing pretty well & I acually enjoyed playing along with hitting a couple good balls too! Next year...I'm IN.
After company left...sad..we ended up getting our house back together ready for ANOTHER Monday that came to soon
& off to bed early!

I think Breck enjoyed his first Watercade! He was a joy.
Couldn't have asked for a better little boy! And the Selly's just loved him up...I think they need one soon!
