Museum & Mud Puddles

Kids painted their faces to look like cats/dogs/mice
We had a busy weekend
that went WAY to fast
{i hate when that happens}
Friday we made a trip to the Children's Science Museum
oh boy that was an adventure!
watching the huge goldfish & turtles
Breck was his busy self exploring EVERYTHING
he refused to sit in his stroller for more then a minute
he need to look,
taste, touch everything!
crawling in a tree trunk for a rest
I'm pretty sure his little legs carried him more then a mile that day!

he helped the big boys build in the Lego castle
by helped
I mean, as soon as they build it up
he knocked it down

He had many "helpers" that day
like it or not
they were determined to carry his and show him everything

a wore out little man

by the end of the day
this little boy was pooped out!
but I was determined not to let him sleep on the way home
{it was already five o'clock}
He made it home, ate dinner, and was off to bed!
STILL waking up at 7 o'clock a.m, but took a nap at 8:15 am
Today is Monday...
and he is still off schedule! But it was worth it...fun day!

Sunday was B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L out
so Breck & I went for a walk over to the Jones house
to play outside while Jerod attempted to clean the garage {fun stuff}

It was WET &  MUDDY
but that just means more fun!
He's wonderful aunt let him chase bugs {ick}
I was screaming! She was laughing!

 So I {mom of the year} brought Breck over in his Robez. Not outdoor waking shoes, nope, leather booties!
What was I thinking?!?
So {aunt of the year} does it again
she tells Ellery to run in the house and grab two hair binders and two plastic baggies

viola!
waterproof shoes
{"back in the day I walked a mile to and from school with bread bags on my feet" BJ}

What is Breck doing here?
Well eating dirty ice/snow of course!
After the millionth time of taking it out of his mouth
I gave up.
and told him to eat it! :)

yummmmmmmmmy.

Then we found him some of Calvin's old shoes that almost fit and he was happy.
He splashed, ate, fell, rolled in the mud!
Then I gave him a wagon ride
{he just laid there singing to himself as the wagon bumped up and down the driveway..think we need a wagon..he loved it}
After we were good and dirty + tired
we walked home.
Breck took almost a three hour nap and probably could have been longer
but I woke him up for dinner {burgers on the grill} and to see g'ma and g'pa who came to visit!

I want every Sunday like this.
