Spring break for the kids this year was the week before Easter weekend
so they came to my house and we colored our eggs.
We had eggs from the store & eggs from Julian's farm...
some white, some brown, some yellow, and even a blueish one!
We decided to try a different method of coloring this year...
found on (my love) PINTEREST.
It was a bit messy...
But very hands on
and each egg was very unique!
Here's how:
*wear gloves
*dip a paper towel in vinegar and ring out
*wrap the egg in the towel
*squirt different colors of food coloring allover the towel
*unwrap egg
Ta-da
Tie Dyed Eggstravaganza!
Breck wasn't real interested.
He would rather eat M&M's!
And when he got even more bored..
and the M&M's were gone...
we had some yogurt too :)
(when in doubt...feed them...right?!)
Maybe he'll have more fun next year!
Until then,
I'll enjoy coloring eggs!
We also made these fun Easter S'Mores for the cousins!
Here's how:
Crush 1 C. Graham crackers
Then add Peeps
Pour in 1 1/4 C. Chocolate Chips
1/3 C. Brown Sugar
Add tag that says:
To make pour all ingredients in a bowl.
Cut up bunnies into small pieces
Melt 1/2 C. butter & 1/4 Tsp. Vanilla
Mix together
Pat into 9x9 greased pan
Bake 350 15 minutes
Cool. Cut. Enjoy!
On Easter we went to church as a family...
(It doesn't happen to often and here is why)
Breck made it through half of the service until he flung a toy at the lady in front of us and his dad swooped him up and ran to the back where they "im"patiently waited for the service to be done :)
After the most delicious lunch of ham, potatoes, buns, carrots/dip, and snicker salad
the kids had their Easter hunt to find their baskets!
I had them running from the front, to the back, to the front about 10 times!
And throughout the hunt they had to do silly things such as...
do the hokey pokey,
give each other hugs,
wear scarves, glasses,
(I was suppose to put hats out and forgot...SOoo since they were in the "playhouse" where g'pa stores his flower pots for the season...they decided to wear flower pots on their heads!)
And in the end...
they found their baskets
filled with goodies!
Cute basket's huh! Got them Thirty One :)
(I can set you up for next year if you want ha ha)
Breck was to busy sitting on the lawn mower at the time to dig through his basket
but I'll let you know..
his three boxes of fruit snacks the bunny gave him
ARE ALREADY GONE!
Happy Easter!
