Mr. Independent

These last few weeks have been
challenging!
He has been happy then cranky
laughing then crying
wanting his momma then running away from his momma

I
just
love
teething
toddlers!
{place sarcasm here}

We went to the doctor for his 15th month checkup
and was sooooooo happy to hear that my little boy is teething,
but not just his eye teeth,
his eye teeth and his molars are all coming in at the same time!
AMAZING
The happy part? You must think I'm a crazy mean mom for being happy about her child teething!
but, I was just so happy to hear that TEETHING was why he has been so cranky
and not that my precious little sweet boy has become a monster!
{although I could blame it on the teeth, I'm pretty sure half of it is him becoming a monster toddler}
Appointment went like this:
Weight: 23.5 lbs {30th percentile}
Height: 32 inches {60th percentile}
He ran around like a mad man,
I chased him while trying to talk to the doctor,
I was sweating like crazy,
She said he was a healthy active 15 month old boy,
I was happy,
She said he was one of the better behaved toddlers that come in for this appointment because she actually let her check his ears, eyes, mouth, heart ect,
I was relieved,
and shocked,
because I thought he was a holy terror!
He got shots,
cried,
snuggled mom,
stopped crying,
smiled at the nurses,
and we went home!
THIS is Mr. Independent himself.
Insisting on spoon feeding himself applesauce and fruit.
Sometimes he actually makes it to his mouth!
{notice naked baby eating supper, much easier to clean up}
Other times he scoops up the fruit....
then picks it off the spoon
and shoves it in his mouth!
Either way, he's eating it I guess :)

  1. I feel for you! Last week Cory was a monster also... it was horrible. She screamed for better part of two days, threw things, etc... poor kids.
