lovely weather for a nap.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh we have been spoiled rotten with this weather!

UNbelievable.

We have been able to work on the house (i mean Jerod has been able to)

what a man.

Him and my dad sided the shed this weekend

(now we have to pick out stain for the shed & deck)

and we MIGHT be able to do it this fall if the weather holds up!

Jerod also finished painting the garage entrance way

(my unfinished project! I couldn't reach the top to paint..he loves when i do that)

and he tore the refinished stairs out to sand and polyurethane them

(we are stairless yet again, but at least this time it wasn't due to flooding)

and i promised i would start painting the garage doors

(i promise i shouldn't have made because now i must do it)

but for now this is what Breck and i HAVE been doing!

This is us on Friday. 87 degrees. At grandma & grandpa's for lunch.

Then a nap on the front porch. awwwwwww.

what a life.

Mr. Happy even when he's sick

So Miss Anonymous.
You were right. Breck had a DOUBLE ear infection.
Poor little man.
If he would have just told me in the first place
we wouldn't have had to be up ALL night rocking in the chair
WAITING for morning to come so we could see the doctor.

and the worse part,
I'm pretty sure he had it for over a week.
We didn't know it besides not sleeping (until that last night when he screamed all night)
no temp, smiling ALL day, and guzzling his bottle!

So after round 1 of antibiotics
WE still HAVE an ear infection.

So round 2 started tonight and I am praying for a baby that sleeps through the
night again and for him to be all around happy!

But I think he is enjoying all the attention...
his cousin said "she feels so sad for him" (almost in tears, she may be a little dramatic/like her aunt)
So she makes sure to give him extra snuggles and kisses
and reads to him (needs to read a certain number of hours for school)
plus he LOVES it. Seriously, he just sits there for 30 min listening to stories!
He loves his cousins.
and i think
they LOVES him...no wait...i KNOW they do.

ANd this
is mr. happy
even when he isn't feel 100%
he still has the biggest bestest grin!

Pray for better ears soon.

warm fall dayz

I love today, yesterday, and the whole week
the weather has been great...warm days with a nice cool breeze

We have ALL the windows open smelling the fresh air
and in the mornings we have to snuggle in our blankets because of the cool air.
But i wake up every morning, get Breck and we snuggle in bed till the very last
minute is up and i have to get ready for the day.
And the view.
I wake up to a sight of a trees. Trees of yellow and orange.
I love fall.

Today the kids played outside. They WANTED to rake my leaves

to (of course) JUMP in.
But really they were helping me rake our piles and piles of leaves.
ANd while they were busy "working" playing,
this is what Breck and I did.

Then we let Breck experience his first FALL.
He just laid there listening and watching the crunchy leaves around him.


Until his cousin's thought it was funny to cover him up


and they accidentally landed on his face.
I LIVE for this time of year.
Happy Fall.

*Last year I was pregnant and not feeling well so I didn't have to help
rake.
This year, Jerod bought me my very own rake. How kind of him :)

the weekend report...

Friday night we took a trip to Maple Grove to get Breck's crib refund $$.

We invited Ellery to join us so she could entertain Breck in the seat

since he LOoooves car rides ;(

After a trip to BabiesRus & Olive Garden for dinner we headed home.

I drove there, Jerod drove home.

AND

he took a "short cut" (they say you marry someone like your dad...it's true)

taking us about two hours to get home!

I was so mad. tired. and we had two sleeping babes in the back seat.

So he said he would drive fast to get home quicker.

Fast to Jerod means 59mph.

ohhhhhhhh slow down!!!

And thats what he did.

Dang rule follower.

Ellery says from the back seat "next time Hannah should drive" ha!

Saturday my reunion!

It was a hit. Great time!

Got the chance to see old classmates...but man does that make me feel old.

Felt better when I went to lunch today and high school girls were filling up

thier drinks...one turned around and started talking to me, thinking it was

her friend. She was so embarrised to be talking to an old fart (me)

but made me feel good...ahhhhhhhh ten years younger ;)

Hope to see more of our classmates at the 15 or 20 year reunion...

gosh don't let that come TO soon though...

Sunday recover.

We are old. and can't do this anymore.

we bummed around ALL day. Family time, much needed.
