Funny boy. A real bruiser.

Sick as a dog..

that i how it was having the stomach flu...a rough 10 hours.

IT. WAS. AWFUL.

i lay in bed crying, praying, for it to be done

and then

it stopped

and

drank Gatorade

slept

slept

slept

and that night felt like a million bucks!

Breck went to my sisters house for the day

where he played hard

took little to none naps

and had two blow outs...your welcome.

Then the next day {after sanitizing my house}

the kids came to my house for the day

where we laid low

watched movies

and I got to clean up some little person's sick mess...your welcome.

I guess were even ;)

I've heard a lot of people getting the stomach flu

and I HOPE & PRAY YOU

don't get it. stay healthy this winter.

Santa

Breck was dressed as Mr. Claus

this Christmas!

And then there was the dancing Santa

that moved back and forth singing.

Breck would let rub on his face

then laugh over..and over..and over!

I just washed this Santa outfit

and packed it away

for the next Santa baby ;)

Today I am...

8 months old.

8

eight.

My mom and dad can't believe I'm eight months old today.

I am busy.

I walk around furniture & push my toys around the room

{but still fall a lot, but don't cry as much about it}

I love food.

I eat baby food, but love big people food too

{when mom and dad eat I give them puppy dog eyes...they always give in}

I sleep.

All night long again

{thank you tubes for doing what your suppose too}

and I am down to two naps a day

{most of the time}

I am happy.

I talk a lot.

Laugh a lot.

Make silly noises a lot.

I play patty cake

high five

and wave bubbye.

I have a funny personality.

and make my mom and dad laugh and smile all the time.

I think they like me. A LOT.

We have been busy celebrating the holiday's!

Breck's 1st Christmas!

and he got his rocking chair from g'ma & g'pa Smith

{a tradition that they give a grand baby a rocking chair on their first Christmas}

He was so lucky to receive many wonderful gifts

{to many, he must have been a good boy this year}

including a walker from g'ma & g'pa Barrick

riding fire truck, musical giraffe, and MORE

{lots of noisy gifts were given and will be returned the favor next year;)}

Breck had fun playing with his cousins...well, kind of.

Some of the toys they received were not "Breck friendly"

so he had to watch from the other side!

His 1st ornament given to the grand kids each year!

The kids also had fun dressing him up,

he didn't seem to mind...this year!

We had fun celebrating at the Smith side...

then home we went to wait for Santa to fill our stockings!

An early morning to see that SANTA had came

{even I was surprised of this}

our stockings were full of goodies!

I even got the necklace I wanted...that Santa I tell ya, he's good to me!

We all dressed in our Christmas clothes to attend church

to sing about Jesus' birth!

Then home to rest up for the next festivities & watch some Christmas Story marathon!

{this was the part when he says fuuuuuuuudge ha ha}

We spent Christmas Day at the Barrick side

Eating, eating,

opening gifts, playing games,

pool, movies & relaxing! Was wonderful.

Our last stop was at great g'ma's for one last day of

celebrating!

food, eating, & family!

This was Breck 3 minutes in the car, no seriously, three minutes!

We had a wonderful Christmas..

that went WAY to fast!

Eat WAY to much delicious food!

Spent WAY to little of time with the people we love and don't see enough!

And realized I love Christmas time WAY to much!

So I love the holidays
mostly because I love to shop for other people!
and this year I did just that....and I'm done.
But I also was thrilled to receive A LOT of packages this year through the mail!
{poor mail man}

Our wonderful, sneaky, lovely, funny cousin have been sending us "Smith" girls
packages for the last month {yes, a package a day for the last month}
BOW BALLS: what are bow balls...well just that
balls with bows tied on them and of course suctions on them to stick anywhere
you want for the holiday season!
And they came up with them on their own :)
So they have sent us MANY bow balls
and this is my bow ball window!
And most guests that come over look at us strange...
but now you know...so stop looking at us strange!

Then these came in the mail.
YES mice. My aunt sent them. but of course a story behind them too.
We were at my grandpa's shed looking at some old stuff that had been
stored there and what do you know a mouse came creeping up and ran
past us!
My aunt is SO afraid of them so she gets so shook up she trips and falls!
and me...
I start laughing as she is on the ground and the mouse runs past her head!!
but really...
I shouldn't have been, because she kind of got hurt...
but it was kind of funny {even laughing as I write it}
Thanks for the mice...pay back my friend, pay back ;)


And then I received these...
Snowbabies.
From my godmother today with lovely card with pictures of all her
adorable grandbabies!
She had found them in her gift stash and meant to give them to me
many years ago!
The best part was
my mom had just given me a box of my stuff I had stored at their house
when we moved, and when I left for college.
And in there were Snowbabies given to me many years ago from her.
It was kind of special to me!
And another best part is
we have seen them more in the last year then I have in the last
ten years...it's kind of sad, but so fun to be able to catch up
after many years.

Baby it's cold outside...

Tonight
I shoveled my @$$ off. Really.
That's hard work...but I needed to prove it to myself
that I could do it
{because honestly our neighbor was out there doing
everyones driveways, and I knew ours was next...
but I though...why not!}

Got my work out of the year...
and bad frozen, wet, nappy hair along with it!

But really...not to bad. until tomorrow when I can't walk ;)

Soooo. It's almost Christmas.
So excited.
So many plans.
So many people.
So much food.
Christmas overload..and I love it.
and it begins TOMORROW and doesn't end till next Tuesday.

this last Sunday we went to church
to watch Ellery's program!
this is Breck's
2nd time attending church
{first time was baptism}
and he was so good..so little!
so we didn't know what
expect this time...
but actually he was REALLY good.
drank a bottle, ate the pew, eat snacks,
ate a book, bounced on my lap..
then
the last six minutes he turned into a bear...
and then we went home.
but really we ALMOST made it through
the whole ceremony! ALMOST.
We better start practicing this church thing ;)

Free...everyone likes free...right!

This was installed in our house last night by the
Litchfield Fire Department
What is it? A smoke detector duh...
but,
it's a special one called
Kidsmart Vocal Smoke Detector

What does it do? Informs us of a fire duh...
but,
it lets you record your voice and instructions for
you wee ones so they aren't afraid and hear a
familiar voice if there is a serious fire.
Breck may be to small to realize this now, but someday!

Where is installed? In my house of course...
but they put it in Breck's bedroom and another
one in the basement bedroom
{where there may be another child someday}

How much was it? Safety isn't worth a price...
but we got it free from the Litchfield Fire Department.
I found them online for 69.99 {holy smack}

The local fire department is doing a promotional event with these smoke
detectors giving away 300+ of them in the community!
{maybe in yours too...check}
I signed up a couple months ago
{heard of them while I was doing a children's program about safety
and Matt on the fire department was our guest speaker}
But last night when he came to install them,
he informed me they have some left!! and to tell people...
SO YOU PEOPLE...call and get one!

The plan was to take a half day off and finish our shopping
but
snow changed our plans
and
we decide to bake some Christmas cookies
since our mother seems to have turned it over us gals...grinch;)
we were pretty productive
sometimes off task
but productive

since we didn't seem to get much done....
we'll see what we can do to entertain each other while they bake today!

today I was suppose to be

at work at 8 a.m but didn't arrive till

close to 9 a.m!

I came outside to LOTS of new SNOW

and

a neighbor stuck in his

driveway with our other neighbor

trying to shovel him out! I thought

hmm I'll go see how I can help

AFTER I pull out of my driveway.

and

what do ya know...

I got stuck!

They look at me and wave! I'm

SO EMBARRASSED! So they come hook up a rope, pull me out, no problem. So then I say

how can I help you guys! (since he couldn't hook a tow rope up to his car) they asked me to drive while they push...no problem....until I realize I have to jump over the passenger side seat since the drivers door is to close to a snowbank! Ohhh what a show!

But we all got out!
WHAT WONDERFUL NEIGHBORS WE HAVE!
