We made our trek up to Duluth Friday morning...
after a stop at The Burr's ~my godparents & great family friends~
a quick stretch & some fresh lemonade & cookies we were back on the road
Breck was a wonderful travelor! Slept, Slept, ate, Slept! Making the trip a sucess with a three month baby!
We arrived in Duluth, checked in, then off to Old Chicago for pizza supper & to say hi to my brother who was bartending that night! We stuffed our faces w the most delicious pizza
My fav Tai Pie ...mmm a must have!
Malibu
Double Deckaroni & Meat Me.........yes pizza overload, but worth it every calorie!
We ended the evening sitting on the balcony overlooking Superior...I LOVE IT UP THERE!
Saturday: Early rise to get ready for the Air Show
another recommendation...a must see!
The UNITED STATES AIR FORCE THUNDERBIRDS will headline the Duluth Airshow, as they return to Minnesota for the first time since 2006. Tora Tora Tora will also be making their first ever visit to Minnesota as we honor all of America's vetrans and celebrate "Generations" of veterans who have served our great country.
We saw the US Thunderbirds
Tora, Tora, Tora
F-16
USAF F-15 Strike Eagle Demonstration
DAV B-25 & many more
and if your like me you have no idea what that means, but they were pretty amazing to watch.
After the show & a long day in the sun & car waiting to leave ;)
we went back to the waterpark hotel to cool off in the pool! I think us adults had more fun then the kiddo's
wish i had pictures of us going down the waterslides!
A fun fun weekend.
with good family
and good food. Now I must diet...must fit in bridesmaid dress in 3 weeks!
this is what he has been doing ALOT lately.

he reaches for things my hand then puts it in his mouth.
Teeth?
along with much goober & drool
and some crying sad sad crying
He never cries...so when he cried for the first time,
yes, with big tears
mamma cried too. I'm pathetic!
and this could be just the begining of
teeth.
watercade
We had our friends Megan & Ryan from Mankato visit for Watercade weekend..
2nd annual, they say they love it!
Ryan took a picture of this: tackle box, rod, and beer I thought it was funny
& just about sums up what a man needs to be happy
And all i need is a shopping mall & Jerod's credit card ;)
They boys tradition is to be part of the Watercade fishing tournament...
They stayed up till 2ish playing madden, then 6 a.m alarm to get out on the lake.
Thier goal this year was to catch a fish...yup thats it, & would be better then last year!
and... they did. Nice catch Jeff...but still no money won!
They enjoyed fishing while us gals got up for the Watercade walk.
After getting our free shirts (thats worth it, a pj shirt) we started our 4 mile walk...
while a storm began to brew ahead of us! We were ALMOST to mom & dad's house
when it began to pour down...we ran to thier porch for cover & waited out the rain...
so we could finish our walk? nah, just back to the car :) ha!
And the whole time it rained..hmmm 45 min of pouring rain...we were VERY
concerned about our boys...or just lauging thinking about them out on the boat!
After fishing the boys rest..zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Then off to the 1 band parade! Athough I very much enjoyed the alumni band...but will NEVER take part in it...sorry gals! It was a hot humid 2 hour parade! WE all looked forward to a cold one around a fire that evening....
I think Breck enjoyed his first Watercade! He was a joy.
